Hi all. Here i want to share a bit bout our holiday to Singapore. We start from KL at 6am in the morning and arrived at Johor at 10.30am. About four and a half hour journey by car. Before we get to immigration, we parked the car at season KTM parking with rate RM12 per day.
Now we are at Woodlands immigration at Johor near the Johor Railway Station. This is the new immigration centre replacing the old one. From here, we have to pass through the gate, passport and bag checked. Then we take the bus to singapore immigration.
Luckily, we don't have to Q long. Just take half an hour to across the bridge to Singapore territory. At the Singapore immigration, the same procedure applied.
In half day time, only then we get to Singapore and start the journey with my uncle whose living there. We are not driving there as my uncle advised. So, we choose to use public transport. Actually, Singapore public transport not too bad. Very friendly system and the only easy way to travel. There, they call it MRT. To make it more easy and smoothly, my uncle provided Ezlink( likely TouchnGo) to travel using buses and MRT. Even you can used it for filling petrol and many more.
Our staying place located very near to City Square Mall. We reached by MRT at Farrer Park station. MRT more faster and longer than LRT in KL. It available every 3 minutes time in peak hour.
Here we take a double dacker bus. It big and clean. Easy to get. In my opinion, people there mostly using public transport rather than drive. You will know it why when you get there. In Singapore, there are more junction and signboard and also bus stop. So, we have no problem to travel. But most of our time, we are walking around. It will be more fun and adventure. For those who want to come, prepare with better shoes bcoz you will need to walking around :) .
1st night, I'm not really sure where is it, but one of the road are closed for celebrating Christmas. A lot of people there.
After that, we walked to singapore river. Very beautiful night with light and some extreme game. Here also is my uncle working place at Swiss Hotel. Maybe 4 or 5 star hotel. I'm not sure bout it :) .
The next day, after breakfast, we go to Vivo City at Harbour Front. From there we take a Monorail to Pulau Sentosa.
About 15 minutes to Pulau Sentosa. There are 4 station in Pulau Sentosa. 2 of it still under constructions. So we just go to the last station name Beach Station and another one i also forgot the name :) . Because we don't have much time, just maybe only half we covered at Sentosa Island. Maybe next time.
Then, the last place we go to Changi Airport. They have three Terminal in different place but very near. Just take Air Transit to get between Terminal. At Changi, the place are smaller than KLIA but the way they design it makes it look more space and far view. Other than that, our time spending to walking, eating, toilet :) etc....
For me, Singapore is the place for shopping :) . Not because their goods are cheap. It because some of it are not available in KL and sure that will be the expensive item :) . So prepare your money well and used it wisely. Maybe we will go again to make it more perfect journey. But overall, it a good experience for a 1st timer as we are.
